If we talk about the best recipe in Jaipur, you can’t go wrong with the Laal Maans at Padao restaurant. General Manager – Mr. Bhagat Singh personally guided our team to this iconic dish, and we were blown away by the taste experience. According to GM – there are many such recipes in veg also like Besan Gatta, chilli Paneer, mix pakoda, dal bhati churma, etc. a few names for which are equally famous at this venue.

Laal Maans is a traditional Rajasthani dish made with succulent mutton cooked in spicy red gravy. Chefs at Padao have perfected this recipe, creating a rich and flavorful dish that will tantalize your taste buds. We also got to know about Chef – Mr. Sujat Hussain who is making this recipe for 30 years and is a master of cooking himself.

How to Make Authentic Lal Maans: Recipe and Ingredients

Lal Maans is a popular meat dish from Rajasthan, India. It is typically made with mutton, but can also be made with other meats like chicken or lamb. The dish is known for its rich red color and spicy flavor and is a favorite of many locals and visitors to Rajasthan.

The recipe for Lal Maans varies from region to region, and each chef may have their own unique spin on the dish. However, some of the key ingredients typically used to make Lal Maans include:

Mutton: The main ingredient in Lal Maans is mutton or lamb, which is typically marinated in a blend of spices before cooking.

Red chili powder: This is what gives Lal Maans it’s signature red color and spicy flavor. The chili powder can be adjusted according to personal taste.

Yogurt: This is used to tenderize the meat and balance out the heat of the chili powder.

Ghee or oil: This is used to cook meat and spices.

Garlic and ginger: These are commonly used in Indian cuisine to add flavor and aroma to dishes.

Cumin, coriander, and other spices: These are typically used to flavor the dish and add depth to the sauce.

The process of making Lal Maans involves marinating the meat in a blend of spices, including red chili powder, and then cooking it slowly in a sauce made from yogurt and more spices. The dish is typically served hot with rice or bread.

At Padao restaurant in Jaipur, chefs take great care to prepare the perfect Lal Maans. They use only the freshest ingredients and traditional cooking techniques to create a truly authentic and delicious dish that you won’t soon forget.

Our Experience –

At Virtual Banjara, our experience at Padao restaurant was truly unforgettable for several reasons. Firstly, the food was absolutely delicious and the stunning view of Jaipur City added to the overall ambiance. Additionally, we were given special permission to capture the making of a recipe, which is typically not allowed in a government-owned establishment. The sunset view from Padao was unparalleled and made for a perfect backdrop to our marriage anniversary celebration, which was made even more special by the warm hospitality, live music, and scrumptious food. As night fell, the city lights of Jaipur were a sight to behold, and the burj naming ceremony was a unique experience that highlighted popular areas such as Chandpole, VVIP burj, badi burj, and more. Overall, our experience at Padao was truly unmatched and unforgettable.

We would like to thank you for such special treatment to us at Padao to Padao restaurant senior management and staff.
