Dhaba – a roadside restaurant generally serves authentic local cuisine at an affordable rate with Great taste. It is very often to find these Dhaba on highways and in local markets within Indian cities. Dhaba the word itself refers to raw but tasty food, unlike fancy food. We got the chance to have the same in one of its kind Dhaba, in our very own city Jaipur, Rajasthan. Let us share our experience with details that can attract you to visit it at least once. This place has a roadside view – a rooftop table arrangement in the middle of one of the famous shopping markets in Jaipur.
Place/Location – ‘Shree Mahaveer Dhaba’ – Nehru Bazar, Jaipur, Rajasthan (INDIA)
Menu/Recipe to cover – Paneer Butter Masala, Malai Kofta, Dal Makhani, Butter Roti (Chapati), Butter Garlic Naan, etc.
Food Ingredients and preparation – with the basic Dhaba style food they were fairly using crushed Paneer covering and raw Amul butter in each of the dishes prepared by them, enriching the overall taste of the recipe. Paneer Butter Masala contains bigger than usual paneer pieces with rich thick green gravy and also dry fruits in it, Malai Kofta was delicious enough as well with Khoya mixed in it, when it comes to Dal Makhani – prepared with basic ingredients of it with crushed paneer toppings with extensive butter layer. Overall the taste was light, typically less spicy with an authentic Dhaba style of it.
Our Experience – This could be your one-stop destination for Dhaba-style food and the taste as expected. Moreover, the sitting arrangement – rooftop with breeze specifically made it an experience for us. Overall, we liked the taste which does matter the most.
Rating – 4 **** (based on our experience we do rate the food on a scale of 1-5 – in which 5 is the Best).
